西周 青銅觚 Western Zhou Dynasty period. The neck flaring to a wide mouth, cast with tapering blades extending to the rim, the central section cast with taotie masks, the spreading foot reticulated to depict mythical beast masks divided by raised flanges. 觚，是中國古代一種用於飲酒的容器，也用作禮器。器身份為三部分，上部敞口，頸較長， 中間腹部略鼓，下部圈足外撇。腹部及下部各飾以四條突起的扉棱 。上部飾以微突蕉葉紋， 腹部飾以“鳳鳥紋”，下部飾“迴紋”及“獸面紋”。整器造型俊俏挺拔，沉穩端莊，紋飾 繁縟，高雅精緻，肅穆神秘。
