PROVENANCE: From the Collections of Henry Windermere (1932- 2018) Covington, Georgia, served US Army for more than 28 years, retiring as a colonel. His received many military medals. He then became Westminster Services training coordinator and working as a program director for a defense contractor based in Xianggang China. Among his varied interests and passions were collecting Chinese art pieces. Dimensions (cm): Height: 26 Diameter: 16 Chinese Qing Dynasty Period Lujun glazed Porcelain YuHuChun Vase. The porcelain potted in Chinese traditional YuHuChun shape vessel, the pear shaped bottle vase, slight ovoid body, a bottom-heavy body tapered gracefully to slender waisted neck, with wide flaring mouth rim, supported on short small foot base, slight concave. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in masterfully covered in an even coat of a soft blue glaze which terminates at the base to reveal the deep red under glaze. The blue glaze creates a freckles effect surround the surface which is likened unto the blushing of human skin. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design. The glaze is seamless and gives off a beautiful luster, with the colors maintaining excellent vibrancy. RARE Mark on base, a six-teen under glazed blue script characters reign mark, Qianlong Reign Period.
