PROVENANCE: From the Collections of Henry Windermere (1932- 2018) Covington, Georgia, served US Army for more than 28 years, retiring as a colonel. His received many military medals. He then became Westminster Services training coordinator and working as a program director for a defense contractor based in Xianggang China. The porcelain potted in reward shape vase, thick and tall, ovoid lower body, tapered gracefully toward straight tall cylindrical neck, with flaring mouth rim, raised on a short small round foot base with slight concave. The exterior decorated with hand-painting in grayish under glazed base color which contrast against the Ge design color. Distinctive GE crackled glaze also known as jinsi tiexian which translates to mean gold floss and iron thread which details the look of several lines that appear in the crackled surface. The glaze is seamless and gives off a beautiful luster, with the colors maintaining excellent vibrancy. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. Mark on base, a six under glazed blue seal script characters reign mark, Made In The Years of Qianlong Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
