Attributed to Dr. Christopher Dresser (1834-1904), a Hukin and Heath silver and glass three-piece cruet set and stand Mark of JWH and JTH, London, 1884 Comprising: a pepper pot, a glass salt with a silver spoon and a mustard pot with a matched silver spoon (stamped CFL, London 1990), the stand with three supporting cups and a central rod and hoop handle, with fine beaded borders 11 cm high (6) Provenance: Sheldon Shapiro & Co, 5th June 1990 There is a chip to the side of the glass mustard pot. Some tarnishing and natural wear to silver. The spoon is a later replacement - the bowl of the spoon is a little more triangular than the other original, but has a ball finial like the original. Glass salt good, the spoon has some corrosion and tarnishing in keeping with age and use. Pepper pot also has a chip on the side of the glass. Silver with some old marks. Base has some tarnishing and corrosion spots to the inside. Natural wear to other surfaces.
