A pair of George III Irish oval cut glass butter dishes, covers and stands circa 1810 of oval form, with faceted and hobnail sides, star cut-base to the trays, tray 21cm wide, butter dish 14.5cm high (2) Part of a Herefordshire Country House Estate Condition report: Stands - both undersides scratched, one missing two sections of the rim and with nibbles to the edges right the way around. The second stand has no serious chips, but again has nibbles right the way around. Dishes - 1 cover chipped, two further smaller underside rim chips. Both bases have small chips to 5/6 sections around rim. The second cover has two small chips and several rim nibbles. The bases of both dishes are scratched Please see images. They need cleaning but there are no signs of clouding.
