A George III provincial sterling silver mustard pot, Newcastle 1772 by John Langlands Of cylindrical ‘drum’ form with moulded rims, the hinged disc lid with incised concentric circles raised by a pierced shell thumbpiece leading to a C scroll handle. The front of lid cut with a spoon aperture. Fitted with a removable blue glass liner. Fully marked underneath, the lid unmarked. Length – 8.4 cm / 3.25 inches Weight – 92 grams / 2.96 ozt
