A MEISSEN PORCELAIN MUG, LATE 19TH CENTURY, with a twisted handle, decorated with a shaped vignette of a tavern scene in the manner of Tenniers, with country people dancing and drinking, within gilt rococo borders, on deep blue grounds, within further bands of gilt flowers and foliage, blue crossed swords to base 9.5cm high Provenance: Property from a private collection of a distinguished American lady, Eaton Square, London. Condition report. When examined under UV there appears to be no white Florescence. Minor wear to gilding, some red marks to base or cup, the origin not confirmed. Possibly security pencil. Some brown spot marks to the interior.
