A MEISSEN PORCELAIN FIGURE OF A YOUNG GIRL READING A BOOK, LATE 19TH CENTURY, dressed in a pink dress admiring a watch, seated on a stool, on a circular base, inscribed mark F 49, blue crossed swords mark, 14cm high, together with a Meissen figure of a girl dealing cards at a table, inscribed mark F 64, blue crossed swords mark (2) Provenance: Property from a private collection of a distinguished American lady, Eaton Square, London. Condition report: Girl playing cards_the table has warped slightly in the kiln, there are losses to the lace work in the ladies dress. Girl with the watch-there are similar losses to the lace work. Under UV light both figures appear stable with no notable areas of flurescence.
