A SET OF SIX AUSTRIAN BIMINI WERKSTATTE ART MARTINI GLASSES, CIRCA 1925-1938, the inverted conical bowls decorated with red and white threads on a bubble knop inset with lampwork glass animals, above a further inverted baluster bubble knop decorated with small prunts on tapering stems and circular foot (6) 18.5cm high Note: The Bimini glass works was founded by Fritz Lampl in Austria in 1923. It produced “lampwork” glass sculptures of figures, animals and vases, as well as sets of drinking glasses with matching decanters. The designs were created by Lampl and his brother in law Joseph Berger. A combination of both lampwork and glass blowing techniques give rise to a unique style. Wonderful display pieces and elegant drinking glasses for the cocktail lover. Provenance: Property from a private collection of a distinguished American lady, Eaton Square, London.
