MUMMIFIED HARE, probably 17th century, an unusual mummified hare mounted in a glazed case on ebonised plinth terminating on bun feet, a brass rod with a brass collar holds the hare in its last leaping-like state, 56cm wide 28cm deep 32cm high This hare was found on the Beverston Estate in an outbuilding, aptly named the Pilgrim's Barn.
