A pair of cast bronze horse heads, 20th century, after the Medici Riccardi horse head, 97cm wide 40cm deep 77cm high (2) The original bronze horse head, known as the Medici Riccardi horse head, is currently in the Museo Archeologico Nazionale in Florence. It is probably the last surviving piece of a life-size Hellenistic equestrian bronze group dating from the middle of the fourth century BCE, and it was acquired by the Medici family in the fifteenth century. Condition report: General surface wear and scratches, verdigris and weathering.
