Brass Figure of Black Jambhala, Tibet, 19th century, standing on a figure reclining on a single lotus throne, with a jewel-spitting mongoose in his left hand and a cup in his right, snakes crawling on his belly and ankles, his face painted in gold lacquer with details in red, black, and white pigments, a closed compartment in his back, a double vajra mark incised on sealed base, ht. 4 1/8 in.
