Paul Mathey (France, 1844 - 1929) Painting of a young woman with a dove. Oil on canvas. Mathey first exhibited at the Paris Salon (1868). In 1876, and 1885, Mathey was awarded medals by the Salon. He won the prestigious Gold Medal at the Exposition Universalle in 1889. That same year, the French Government awarded him the chevalier de la Legion d'honneur. Sight Size: 18 x 11 in.
