Description
Translation provided by Youdao
A fine Maya cylinder from the Sula Valley of Honduras, ca. 400 - 700 AD. This excellent creamware example is 6-1/2 inches high and features a pair of deities as handles. It is decorated with carved volute design patterns similar to the "false glyph" designs on the famous alabaster vessels from that region. There are pyramid-form openings cut into the hollow base. Strong mineral deposits. (MA1384)
