The rim engraved with a coat of arms, 'quarterly, first and fourth, azure, a lion rampant crowned, or (DAYRELL), second and third, ermine, a chevron between three cocks azure (GLASCOCK), overall an escutcheon of pretence, paly of six azure and sable, three eaglets displayed countercharged (WHITCOMB)', touchmark of Jonas Durand II, London (fl.1732-1775), (PS3007), on rear of the rim. diameter 24.7cm (9¾in), rim width 3.7cm (1½in)
