Richard Bresnahan (American, b. 1953). Group of eight studio pottery stoneware ceramic vessels, including four dishes, each marked with the Bresnahan studio mark along the underside; three cups, two unglazed and marked along the footrim, and one in a glossy glaze marked along the underside; and one bowl in a mottled blue and red glaze, marked with the Bresnahan studio mark and numbered out of 100 along the footrim. Bresnahan founded the Saint John's Pottery at Saint John's University, where he is an artist in residence. Keywords: Mingei, Wabi sabi, Chawan, Yunomi, Guinomi, Bizen yaki. Height ranges from 1 3/4 into 4 3/4 in; diameter ranges from 3 in to 7 1/8 in.
