A Sancai-Glazed Pottery Figure of a Camel, Tang Dynasty. The result of Oxford Authentication Ltd. thermoluminescence test no.C106p21 is consistent with the dating of this lot. Size: 12" L x 4 1/4" W x 14 3/4" H. Very good condition with a few minor losses. Provenance: Former S. Byrne(1918-1996) collection, NY and acquired 1970's-1980's. Thence by descent in the family. Mr. S. Byrne was a prolific Collector of Chinese Art, acquiring important pieces from major auction houses and galleries in the New York Area.
