Chinese Painted Pottery Horse with Original Groom, TL Tested. This beautifully proportioned Tang horse with rare original pigment. It is in excellent condition (possibly restored crack in legs). The sculpture has a turned head with the desirable open mouth. The highly pigmented groom is original to the horse. (There were 3 horses with grooms and 3 camels with bearded grooms which were dispersed in HK in the late 1980's). TL tested and of the period.
