19th/20th century The flowering trees applied with agate, turquoise, coral, amethyst and further hardstones, set in carved cinnabar lacquer planters; the bamboo brushpots variously carved with pine and a boy riding a buffalo amongst pine and rockwork. The tallest hardstone tree 40cm (15.3/4in) (4).
