Tang Dynasty Each guardian figure modelled standing, with one arm raised to hold a spear, the other hand resting on the hip, wearing a finely-detailed full armour with breast plates and epaulettes at each shoulder, their faces painted red and well modelled with individual expressions, wearing an elaborate helmet capped by a triangular finial, traces of coloured pigments remaining, wood stands.
