17th/18th century Deeply hollowed to form a slender cup with the head of a phoenix rising from its elegant neck curving upwards from the base of the cup, the sides carved with archaistic scrolls, the feathers and wings of the bird curling upward to the rim with a single chilong, the stone of pale greenish-grey tone. 11cm (4 3/8in) high.
