Late 17th century The cabinet of rectangular shape, finely decorated with mythical beasts and exotic birds perching on branches of flowering prunus, the sides with further birds amidst flowering shrubs, the pair of doors set with a shaped lockplate enclosing an arrangement of ten drawers, set on a later lacquered stand. The cabinet 58.5cm (23in) wide x 34.5cm (13 1/2in) deep x 47.5cm (18 7/8in) high; the stand 90cm (35 3/8in) high x 63.5cm (25in) wide x 40cm (15 6/8in) deep. (2).
