Qianlong, the zitan stand and frame, 19th century Exquisitely enamelled with an exotic scene of a European gentleman and lady carrying a spear and fan respectively, beneath a large tree and beside a table, looking at a boy striking a 'fish-monster' chime, all within a mountainous landscape with European-style buildings in the distance, the reverse with bamboo and a gnarled branch issuing pomegranates and blossoms, three birds perched on the branch, another in flight, further painted with a poetic inscription and two seals, all within a zitan frame and stand.
