19th century Carved on one side in high relief with a group of weiqi players with two boys in attendance and a recumbent stag to one side, in a clearing beneath a tall pine and rockwork, the stone of dark-reddish brown and grey-green tones, inscribed to the lower left corner with a nineteen-character inscription indicating that this panel was a gift for the recipient's sixtieth birthday, the reverse plain. 35cm (13 3/4 in) square.
