Qianlong The flat circular cover top finely and deeply carved with an elaborate scene of three scholars eating fruit and sweetmeats on a rocky lake shore, a fisherman crossing a bridge in the foreground, the shore dotted with dwellings, trees and mountains, all within a wave-patterned border, the sides of the box and cover with a continuous landscape scene of villages within a rocky riverscape, the interior and base lacquered black. 19.5cm (7 6/8in) diam.
