Mid Qing Dynasty Supported on a slightly spreading base, the shallow drip-pan with an everted flange rim rising to a long knobbed column supporting a smaller upper drip-pan surmounted by gilt pricket, painted in brilliant enamels with the Eight Buddhist Emblems, Bajixiang, alternating with medallions enclosing fruits and flowers, within decorative borders of stylised leaves and ruyi-heads, all on a pink ground embellished with gilt swastika pattern, the knob decorated with gilt floral scroll on a lapis-blue ground, the foot rim similarly painted with lapis-blue encircling a band of florets. 48.5cm (19 1/8in) high.
