Qing Dynasty Of compressed globular form, the body finely chased with a pair of five-clawed dragons pursuing the flaming pearl of wisdom amidst cloud-scrolls, the reverse similarly decorated with a pair of dragons chasing the pearl flanking a carp attempting to leap over the gate above mountains, the cylindrical neck cast with a cash-diaper ground, rising to a flared flat rim with foliate scrolls, flanked by a pair of S-shaped handles decorated with foliate scrolls and bats amidst clouds, all raised on three flaring monster-mask legs terminating in clawed feet, the underside decorated with a medallion enclosing a dragon. 36.2cm (14 1/4in) wide.
