Edo period (1615-1868), circa 1802 A hanshibon-size book, volume 3, from the three volume set of Ehon Azuma Asobi (A Picture Book of the Amusement in the Eastern Capital) depicting subjects associated with seasons in Edo, some pictures accompanied with kyoka poems, consisting of eight double-page and two single-page colour illustrations, publisher's colophon missing, unsigned, each illustration with a later handwritten Dutch inscription in black ink along the top margin. 26.5cm x 17.5cm (10 7/16in x 6 7/16in).
