Showa era (1926-1989), dated 1935 An oban yoko-e print, titled along the left margin Koshigaya no yuki (Snow in Koshigaya), depicting a docked wooden boat during a snowstorm, the marshes opposite almost entirely blanketed by snow, a tiny isolated hut shown at the edge of the promontory on the Motoarakawa River in Saitama Prefecture, the large snowflakes printed with karazuri (blind embossing), dated Showa junen nigatsu saku (Work of February, Showa 10 [1935]), published by Watanabe Shozaburo, with a Hanmoto Tokyo Ginza Watanabe mokuhan gaho seal along the lower right margin; signed Hasui with Kawase seal. 26.5cm x 39.2cm (10 3/8in x 15 3/8in).
