Showa era (1926-1989), dated 1946 An oban yoko-e print, titled along the left margin Mizuki no kumoribi, Ibaraki-ken (Cloudy Day in Mizuki, Ibaraki Prefecture), depicting a mother and child on a deserted path as darkness falls on the seaside town, a dilapidated row of houses in the left foreground with bunches of daikon beside a torn shoji door, dated Showa nijuichinen saku (Work of Showa 21 [1946]), published by Watanabe Shozaburo, with a 6mm round Watanabe seal at the bottom right corner; signed Hasui with Kawase seal. 26.8cm x 36.5cm (10½in x 14 3/8in).
