Edo period (1615-1868), late 18th/early 19th century Pheasants and Mandarin Ducks; a pair of six-panel miniature folding screens, ink, mineral colours and gold on paper, with silk borders and a black-lacquered wood frame, painted in the Kano style, one screen depicting a pheasant and its mate beneath flowering branches on the shores of a stream and the other a pair of mandarin ducks; unsigned; framed but unglazed.
