A set of five Regency black chinoiserie decorated dining chairs, c1820, the concave top rails panelled and detailed with figures in chinoiserie landscapes above a shaped horizontal rail decorated stylised flowerheads and leafage, moulded frames detailed in gilt, caned seats, the front rails with basket flowerheads and feathering, on sabre legs, the set including a pair of elbow chairs; together with a pair of Regency black chinoiserie decorated elbow chairs with over sailing cresting rails above caned panels and seats, the frames with chinoiserie scenes, hatching and leafage with gilt line borders (7) Extensive wear and losses to all decoration on chairs, some seats punctured and torn, some old refreshed decoration
