A collection of Chinese jades, comprising: a scabbard slide, the slightly tapered rectangular top with incurved ends and a lug beneath, the upper surface carved with a sinuous chilong in low relief, the stone of a variegated cream tone subtly mottled with russet inclusions, 7.8cm long, a recumbent horse, lying with its head turned to the back, 5.5cm long, and a goose, 6.5cm long (3) Provenance: The collection of David Widdicombe QC (1924-2019); thence by descent. 玉雕螭龙纹剑璏 玉马 及 玉鹅 Condition report: Scabbard - General wear consistent with age, minute knocks to edges. Horse - with russet inclusions. Purchased in Hong Kong in May 1978. Goose - minute knocks throughout.
