此件扳指以和田白玉为材，带有洒墨斑，玉质温润纯净。器呈马鞍形，一端微凸，一端微内凹，内外壁打磨光滑，外壁浅浮雕刻“富贵永昌”四字，为篆书体。扳指，又称“班指”，盛行于清，当与满人善骑射不无关系。本意是射箭时将其用佩戴于拇指之上以防伤手，后逐渐从实用物演变成装饰物，并成为身份地位的象征。
