Simulating draped silk, the main staff exhibits an organic composition of twisted folds, fringes and tassels as it stretches downward to the winged cherub figure holding a mass of foliage in one hand and a flame in the other. The original gold plated brass has a natural patina and the castings are of the highest quality known with an extraordinary amount of the refinement completed by hand.
