The body of the tankard is adorned with fine embossing work depicting a medievel battle scene. A king can be seen ordering his men into battle. Valiant lancemen, galloping horses and footmen fighting for control of the castle which can be seen in the backround. below are heart cartouche ornaments with bird fruit and floral ornaments embossed and engraved whithin each cartouche. The tankard sits on four legs adorned with scroll work. The lid of the tankard is has similar decoration as the bottom with a finial of a man on a horse. Tha handle of the tankard is ornately adorned and bares the head of Athena or another Goddess. Inside of the tankard is gilded Full German hallmarks weight: 2230 height: 44cm diameter: 16cm
