Large Famille Rose vase, China, 19th century (Qing). Circumferential decoration with scholars and boys in a palace garden, the wide neck decorated with iron-red and gold heightened phoenix cartouches against blue background with lotus tendrils. Turquoise painted elephant head handles with rings in the mouth, lip rim with hairline cracks and filled chips. An iron-red Qianlong seal mark under the base, h. 58 cm.
