The inscriptions record the process that King Huai of Chu Dynasty granted the boat section and vehicle section to E Junqi in 323 BC, and ordered E Junqi to start the transportation routes of water and land, carriage quantity, carriage type and tax payment in detail, which was the precious materials of making research on transportation, politics, economy, geography and tax payment system of commerce in Chu Dynasty during the Warring States Period. 銅節分舟節和車節兩種，用時雙方各持一半，合節驗證無訛才發生效力，舟節長31.5釐米，寬8釐米，厚0.6釐米，有錯金銘文9行.銘文記載了西元前323年，楚懷王發給鄂君啟舟節和車節的過程，並詳細規定了鄂君啟水路、陸路交通運輸的路線、運載額、運輸種類和納稅情况，是研究戰國時楚國交通、政治、經濟、地理和商業賦稅制度的珍貴資料。L. 31.5 cm.
