盘敞口，折沿，浅弧腹，矮圈足。里、外施天蓝色釉，釉面有不规则的紫红斑块，犹如蔚蓝天空上的几朵红霞，绚丽多彩。圈足端、足内满釉，外底留有五个支烧钉痕。从圈足和支钉痕观察，胎呈灰色。此盘胎体厚重、坚硬，造型优美，釉色鲜艳，天蓝色与玫瑰紫色交相辉映，绚丽典雅，着实珍贵。宋人曾以“夕阳紫翠忽成岚”诗句来赞美，可见确是有感而发。因钧窑器物，其釉色灵活、变化微妙，世上绝无相同之两件钧瓷，更显其独一无二，巧夺天工，具有较高的收藏价值。
