Keith Reynolds (American, B. 1929) "Tall-masted Hospital Ship Tole Mour" Signed lower right. Original Oil painting on Canvas Board. Provenance: Collection of James A. Helzer (1946-2008), Founder of Unicover Corporation. This painting originally appeared on the Republic of the Marshall Islands $1.00 Tall-masted Hospital Ship Tole Mour stamp issued September 25, 1995. Dedicated to providing health care services and medical training for the people of Micronesia, the Mari-Med organization counts the citizens of the Marshall Islands among those it has helped over the years. A vessel that aided in this group's vital work was the tall-masted hospital ship Tole Mour featured in this painting. Constructed during the early 1800s and fashioned in the barkentine style -- a descendant of the bark vessels -- this ship was designed to meet the demand for more sail speed as well as greater flexibility and ease of handling. Image Size: 17.75 x 24 in. Overall Size: 20 x 24 in. Unframed. (B15181)
