底款：子孙保之水丞又称水中丞，一般称水盂。置于书案上的贮水器，用于贮砚水，多属扁圆形，有嘴的叫水注，无嘴的叫水丞。水盂是文房中不可或缺的文具。通常用的就是竹木、陶瓷等制；玉器为水盂，可知其来历不凡，档次之高，当时拥有者极为珍之，故刻“子孙保之”。 这件水盂青玉质，椭圆形，口内空。此水丞为书案上专用以盛水的器皿，因研墨用水量小，故器体也小巧玲珑。水丞的玉质纯净光润，雕琢古雅，生动传神，皆与盈盈水意相应合。整体制作美观有致，可用可藏。
