A BRONZE FIGURE OF A LUOHAN ON AN ELEPHANT 17th/18th century The figure, possibly representing Kalika, seated cross legged, studying an open scroll held before him, the robes falling in elaborate pleats over the right shoulder, the smiling face framed with tightly-curled beard and eyebrows, the recumbent elephant adorned with jewelled trappings, the head turned to its left, the patina of rich brown hue. 17.2cm (7in) high.
