A pale green and russet jade carving of a melon and tree-shrew 18th century The large pebble naturalistically carved as a ripe melon borne on a gnarled branch and issuing leafy tendrils, a small tree-shrew clambering up the side, the stone of pale green tone with russet-brown patches. 7cm (2 6/8in) high.
