此件玉熏炉采用和阗碧玉雕就，玉质细腻，呈墨绿色。器体由炉盖及炉身子母口扣合。炉盖顶部凸起的抓钮由四个龙首组成，张口相互聚拢，长角向下弯卷，各带一活环。盖体以镂空手法琢饰一周卷草夔龙纹，纹饰繁密，雕琢细致。炉身为侈口，折沿，弧腹，喇叭形圈足。口沿左右两侧各圆雕一突起的兽首，巨目大耳，短角后翘，长舌延至器腹，下带活环。整器用料硕大，掏膛匀净，雕工精湛，包浆醇厚，下承红木雕四足底座，实为一件难得的陈设精品。
