A BRONZE FIGURE OF A DANCING APSARA Cambodia, 1920. Cast in a lively kneeling posture on a lotus bud, wearing a sampot, a leaf-shaped pendant collar and an elaborate head dress. Set onto a lac burgaute wood base finely decorated with geometric and floral patterns of inlaid shell. Condition: Good condition with wear and a fine patina with some Verdigris. A part of the head dress broken off but still existing. Provenance: Ex-Collection of The Zelnik Istvan Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above.
