It quickly gained favour among the Pan-Am executives and the business jet-set community as a whole. The reference 1675 began production 80 years ago in 1960. This was the first GMT Master reference to feature protective crown guards as well as the smaller triangular tip on the second hour hand. The current example features a Pepsi bezel that over time has aged to an amazing vibrant pink thus earning the nickname of 'Fuchsia'. The varying colours that vintage Rolexs turn demonstrates an interesting point in Rolex history where they were experimenting with different suppliers and materials to create the most desirable finishes.
