Featuring a rich blue guilloche engraved dial, the 5930 was the first Patek Philippe World Time to utilise a flyback chronograph. Patek Philippe first employed the World Time complication in its wristwatches during the 1930s, when the complication was first invented by Swiss watchmaker, Louis Cottier (1894-1966). Cottier's classic World Time wristwatch depicted 24-time zones simultaneously, with the local time zone of the wearer controlled through a pusher in the case whilst automatically correcting the position of the 24 hour dial.
