An 18K gold manual wind chronograph wristwatch Reference: BA 101.010 Date: Manufactured 20th January 1966, London Import mark for 1966 Movement: 17-jewel pink gilt Cal.321 manual wind, column wheel chronograph, No.22.825.384 Dial: Brushed silvered, applied polished gilt hour markers with black accents, black 1/5th second divisions and tachymeter scale, subsidiary dials at 3, 6 and 9 for seconds, 30 minute and 12 hour recording, polished gilt pointed baton hands with black accents, centre chronograph hand Case: Polished round, snap on back, crown flanked by twin chronograph buttons Strap/Bracelet: Associated brown leather Buckle/Clasp: Signed gold plated buckle Signed: Case, dial & movement Size: 35mm Accompaniments: Omega box, Extract of the Archives Footnotes: The current reference houses the renowned Omega calibre 321 which was first introduced in 1942 having derived from the calibre 27 CHRO C12 which was a chronograph movement with 12-hour recording. The calibre was the first movement ever used in the Speedmaster in 1957. In 1968, the production of the calibre 321 ceased and it would not re-emerge until 2019.
