An early 19th century rectangular, bow-fronted ‘tortoiseshell’ tea caddy, decorated with white metal stringing, the domed lid with a spherical white metal finial above a front moulded with a sunburst and with a central white metal plaque, engraved with a ‘G’, on white metal bun feet, restorations, 18cm wide x 9.5cm deep x 16cm high Condition report: Restorations, including small later patches, including 0.8cm on front left corner of lid, 1cm section on front right corner of front edge of lid, 2cm lower left corner of right side and end of right edge of top and bottom right corner of back.
