An early 19th century rosewood veneered bookcase, the superstructure with a pierced brass 3/4 gallery, above two shelves with reeded brass column supports and acorn finials, the back applied with brass garrya pendants, the rectangular base above a pair of panelled doors with later pleated silk covers, enclosing two adjustable shelves, flanked by brass 'Appollo' moulded and brass strung pilasters, on turned feet with brass caps and castors, 92cm wide x 32.5cm deep x 142cm high Condition report: Generally quite good. Good colour and well figured. Superstructure back possibly later. Hairline cracks from base of each pilaster on the superstructure - between the pilaster and the edge of the top. Silk pleats later. Minor dents, scratches and dents.
